You’re invited to join Square’s Women@ Community as they convene a panel of accomplished data scientists and engineers to share about their career journeys and personal experiences. Square hopes, as a convener, to illustrate a commitment to lifting up and supporting women in technical roles, such as data science and engineering, and invites attendees to consider applying for open technical roles at Square.
We welcome self-identified women and allies who are working in data or interested in beginning a career in data.

Gabriela de Queiroz is a Sr. Engineering & Data Science Manager at IBM and the founder of AI Inclusive, a global organization that is helping increase the representation and participation of gender minorities in Artificial Intelligence. She is also the founder of R-Ladies, a worldwide organization for promoting diversity in the community.
Dr. Jessica Kirkpatrick is the Director of Data Science and Digital Exploration at KoBold Metals, and holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from UC Berkeley. She is also an advisor at Udacity and on the Board of Trustees at the American Astronomical Society. During her previous role at Hired, Jessica dug into salary data that became a published report called “The State of Wage Inequality in the Workplace” which has been in Tech Crunch, Quartz and other publications.
Julia King is the VP of Data & Analytics at Carta. Prior to this, she was leading Data Engineering and Software Engineering teams at Square. She has been part of the data world for many years in both IC and Manager roles, including managing Analytics, Data Science and BI teams. Today, one of the challenges she and her team are trying to solve is how to make data management and processing easier and self service.
